Historic Masonry Restoration Apprentice

$33/hr Starting | 16–40 Hours Per Week | Clear path to a Lead Restoration Mason.

Entry Level: Apprentice | Location: Nazareth, PA - Local Historic Masonry Homes | Organization: K.B. Masonry LLC

 
  • As a Historic Masonry Restoration Apprentice, you’ll help restore historic masonry homes by preparing job sites, materials, and work areas. You’ll learn traditional masonry methods, follow proven systems, and build skills to become a Lead Mason in historic masonry restoration.

    • Training is ongoing.

    • You will receive daily coaching and clear performance benchmarks.

    • There is a defined path from Apprentice to Lead Restoration Mason.

    • Advancement is earned as responsibility, independence, and performance grow, with a clear path to a Lead Restoration Mason role.

    • Prepare, set up, and clean job sites so work can begin immediately.

    • Wash masonry and remove old mortar to prepare surfaces for restoration.

    • Set up, adjust, and remove scaffolding and site protection safely.

    • Prepare and mix mortars exactly as instructed.

    • Stage tools, materials, and work areas to maintain workflow.

    • Support active restoration work during repointing.

    • Clean behind completed work to maintain a professional site.

    • Handle daily cleanup, tool washing, and debris removal.

    • Load, unload, and transport materials as needed.

    • Drive and maintain a clean, organized company vehicle.

    • Take progress photos and communicate issues immediately.

    • Follow training, systems, and quality standards precisely.

  • Minimum Qualifications:

    • Be comfortable working independently once trained.

    • Able to perform physical, hands-on outdoor work.

    • Willing to learn, improve, and follow systems precisely.

    • Take pride in professionalism and maintaining clean, organized job sites, tools, and vehicles.

    • Communicate clearly and speak up when something doesn’t look right.

    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

    • Authorized to work in the United States.

    • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

    Desirable Qualifications:

    • Meets all minimum qualifications.

    • Interest in craftsmanship and historic masonry.

    • Goal-oriented.

    • Committed to daily self-improvement and personal growth.

    • Aspires to grow into a lead mason role in historic masonry restoration.

    • Motivated to help grow K.B. Masonry.

  • $33.00 per hour

    • Opportunity for increased earnings as responsibility, independence, and performance grow, with a clear path to a Lead Restoration Mason role.
