As a Historic Masonry Restoration Apprentice, you’ll help restore historic masonry homes built before 1930 by preparing job sites, materials, and work areas. You’ll learn traditional masonry methods, follow proven systems, and build skills to become a Lead Mason in historic masonry restoration.

Prepare, set up, and clean job sites so work can begin immediately.
Wash masonry and remove old mortar to prepare surfaces for restoration.
Set up, adjust, and remove scaffolding and site protection safely.
Prepare and mix mortars exactly as instructed.
Stage tools, materials, and work areas to maintain workflow.
Support active restoration work during repointing.
Clean behind completed work to maintain a professional site.
Handle daily cleanup, tool washing, and debris removal.
Load, unload, and transport materials as needed.
Drive and maintain a clean, organized company vehicle.
Take progress photos and communicate issues immediately.
Follow training, systems, and quality standards precisely.

Minimum Qualifications:
Comfortable working on your own once trained.
Able to perform physical, hands-on outdoor work.
Willing to learn, improve, and follow systems precisely.
Takes pride in professionalism and clean/organized job sites, tools, and vehicles.
Communicates clearly and speaks up when something doesn’t look right.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
Desirable Qualifications:
Meets all minimum qualifications.
Interest in craftsmanship and historic masonry.
Goal-oriented.
Committed to daily self-improvement and personal growth.
Aspires to grow into a lead mason role in historic masonry restoration.
Motivated to help grow K.B. Masonry.
